Charlie Manson had Followers, Too

I have a new addiction, and it rhymes with my recent mood: bitter.  Yes, three short years ago I jumped on the blog bandwagon and in the past couple of weeks, @OnAFoldDraw has grown a cult membershipfollowing.

Accessibility is the key to Twitter's success.  Proven in the past by tabloids and even reputable newspapers and magazines... people love to "be all up in yo' bidness."  Self, included.

And better still, sometimes the cool kids even play along.  My heart was all aflutter when I saw that I was being followed by such big names in the poker media community as @TaoPauly, @AlCantHang, and @MicheleLewis.  Hell of a stroke to the ego, too.  Pauly sent me a personal thanx for the follow, I once had a multitude of cocktails with Al at the Borgata, and Mrs. Lewis (yes, I too am heartbroken that she's married) actually RT'd me.

If you're new, or morally opposed, to twitter - you wouldn't know (or care) what a ReTweet is.  Essentially, another user saw one of your tweets, then tweets the same thing you said, giving you credit.  This helps acheive new followers of your own from their pool.

I've got a widget on my blog from TwitterCounter.com which serves a daily reminder to tweet now and tweet often.  Two issues that concern me much less than they should:

(a) My dad is my FaceBook friend.
(b) My mother is following me on twitter.
